On the opening ceremory of Export Days 2020, Federation of the Italian Associations of Mechanical and Engineering Industries (ANIMA) awarded Green Ambassador of Friendship and Business of Italy to China to Ms. Margot Song, Chairman and CEO of EnviroVest Industry Ltd (EnviroVest). This is the first time such a special honor was bestowed upon an individual by ANIMA.
In the opening ceremony, Mr. Marco Nocivelli, Presdient of ANIMA, made the announcement of the award, witnessed by Manlio Di Stafano, Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Green Abassador of Friendship and Business of Italy to China Award is to commend Ms. Song for her outstanding contribution in international cooperation in the environmental services industry, and to lend strong support to Ms. Song in her effort to further promote business cooperation between Italy and China. Ms. Song wrote an acceptance note to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ANIMA and the assembly, and expressed her appreciation for the recognition and her willingness to continue efforts in strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchanges between the two countries in the environmental protection and services industry.
In 2018, Ms. Song launched a "Green Action" initiative in Europe, introduced and promoted advanced European environmental services and protection technologies and experiences in developing countries. Her initiatives have garnished support from the governments, business communities, and industries from the European countries with advanced environmental technology and practices such as Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Finland. In 2019, Ms. Song and ANIMA joined force to launch the EU Green Economy Confederations (the GEC), and serve as co-chairs, with the aims of promoting EU environmental technologies and a win-win cooperation between Italian and Chinese enterprises.
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ANIMA thanked Ms. Song for her outstanding contributions to the business exchanges and cooperation between China and Italy, and for the protection of the environment in China, in naming Ms. Song Green Abassador of friendship and business of Italy to China. “Margot SONG, a Chinese enterpreneur, who has made remarkable contributions to the promotion of friendly relations between Italy and China, in recognition of her outstanding role in promoting friendly relations between Italy and China in exporting Italian technology and industrial products aimed at preserving, protect and take care of environment in China.”
As China is currently in a crucial moment of epidemic prevention and control, Ms. Song and her team stayed in China in support of the country’s war against the epidemic and did not travel to Italy to receive the award. Organisation sponsored and attended the event expressed their understanding and their willingness to spare no effort to promote the business cooperation between Chinese and Italian environmental protection enterprises and the exchanges between the two people. Environment protection is one of the most urgent issues to our planet, let us not take this planet for granted and work closer and together for our future and for our children, and the future of our children’s children. We call to promote, to cultivate, and develop the better green economy cooperation and the friendly relations between Italy and China.
